Nice, Classy Place in Charleston
I would say one of the better eateries in Chas. Some of the best rolls I've had (if you're a bread person like I am). Probably the best seafood from a land-locked region like WV--really fresh and tasty. Nice mesquite grill, imparts a good flavor to the food and a great smell and ambiance to the restaurant.    [22 Dec 2000 23:20:28]

Outstanding!
The jambalya was absolutely delicious. I have traveled and ordered this dish from many restaurants and have found no comparison. The bread is always fresh and a distinct flavor that is not reproduced. Your greek salad leaves such a longing for more I can hardly wait to come back to Charleston.
Thank you Tidewater I will return.    [17 May 2002 08:25:42]

Great!!
I'm from Maryland's Eastern Shore- abundant seafood area. I was amazed at the freshness of Tidewater's food.
The stuffed flounder was the best I'd ever had. It was worth the 5 hour trip.
Also, if you like creamed spinach, it was wonderful- I'm only 37 and still have all my teeth! The bread was also excellent.    [01 Feb 2003 16:29:36]

My Favorite Place to Eat in Charleston
Great food. Fresh seafood. Friendly service. The Tidewater Grille has it all. They also have the best rolls in town! If I ever leave the area, the Tidewater will keep me coming back for visits!    [27 Aug 2004 01:52:19]

Bad night??
We must have hit an off night We ordered a dozen oysters and got 1/2 dozen The waitress did bring the other half later after we pointed out the error My friend ordered salmon in paper and when it was served tableside, the server didn't notice that the salmon and shrimp were not cooked
I ordered tuna rare and got well done My broccoli was missing When my friend returned his plate to have it cooked, it was returned without his broccoli When he asked for it, he got about 1/2 the serving he started out with The waitress made every effort to correct the errors, but with all that went wrong, I believe our bill (for 2) of over $100 should have been adjusted without our asking    [10 Jul 2005 22:02:13]

Gross
I had the grouper..Darn thing nearly got off my spinner bait. I asked for Budweiser and the waitress tried to show me all the Dale jr. pictues she had taken with him. My wife started drooling and now shes additced to that darn Nascar stuff. I'd heard that Jessica Simpson was a waitress here..she was a no show..I was pretty disappointed. I asked for Baked Potatoe and some smart guy they call Dan Quail delieved it right to my plate..I told him that some real good service boy..if you ever run for president, you got my vote! After I finish my Potatoe I had another waitress come over and ask me if I was a good tipper..come to think of it..yea I tip pretty well at the lady lounge, before u know it shes sittin on my lap. as you can tell I like ladies more than I do my food..I got my priorties right. I thought it was Gross at first, but its not too bad in there. I reccommend this cute little place..they's cute in there.    [18 Mar 2007 00:40:32]
