Description

Built by Buffalo Bill Cody at the turn of the century. The long cherrywood bar was a gift to Cody from the Queen of England. Menu features include prime rib, chicken dishes, ribs, chicken-fried steak, steak, trout, shrimp and halibut. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations accepted for dinner but in summer it is first come, first served. Alcohol served in the bar adjacent to the dining room.

The nightly prime rib buffet is always packed, deservedly so. The salmon is a long time from the ocean, but no worse than anywhere else in midcontinent.
We always ate here until Bubba's opened.
Beware of Buffalo steak if you have hankering to try buffalo. It is edible only cooked when rare. A Buffalo burger is the thing to try.
Must visit the bar, even if not eating here & note the original ceiling.    [31 Dec 2003 00:09:45]
