Yummy food
Delicious simple spicey food at very reasonable prices. Nothing flash, all dishes remind me of home cooking: plain, tasty, large serves. They do a nice set of breads as well, my favourite being the naans. The place is clean and newly refurbished, but it lacks atmosphere. If the front wall was knocked out and access to the street gained, it would add to the atmosphere, get rid of the need for awful air conditioning, and perhaps attract more customers. Renovated and Better...
I wrote the above review back in December of 06. I can now report that they have done exactly what I was advocating: knocked out the front wall and got rid of the aircon. With a wide open frontage and lots of wall fans the place is now a delight to sit in. The food is as excellent as ever. Last night my friend and I ate a Chicken Mirch and a Rogan Josh which were both superb. Pappadams okay and the naan breads perfect, absolutely perfect. Service is good, Heinekens cold and cheap.
