Description
A new Korean restaurant in the backpacker area.
Closed-in, aircon place with artwork on the walls and modern surrounds. Friendly Korean owners/managers and VNese waitstaff. Seats about 30 people.

OK Meals range from quite reasonable (80 or 90 thousand VND for soups or mixups) through to moderate prices for the usual run of Korean hotpots (100 to several thousands VND).
Some false advertising in their picture menu. My friend was attracted to the place because of a pic showing 3 pork cutlets and a pile of bacon with a set of vege condiments. All ready to grill. Looked good for 100,000 VND. I warned him to ask first. Sure enough the dish consisted of only 2 cutlets, no bacon, and some veg. It's just a picture, the VNese waitgirl said, not what you get.
He ordered something cheaper.
Food was OK. I don't mind a bit of Korean nosh occasionally and this was reasonable. Served with Chilean red wine (at 50 thousand VND for quite a big glass, which was nice).
Kitchen staff bubbling with enthusiasm, and VNese girls waiting, doing OK.
They need to get rid of the aircon and open the front up to the street; let the backpackers know not to be intimidated. As it is, the place is cold and uninviting. [14 Jan 2009 08:08:33]
