A convenient refuge A good place to go when you want to sit down and have a coffee but you're sick of the 'coffee shop' crowd.
I read in one of the guides that this cafe was rated 'cheap'. I always wondered why it wasn't elbow to elbow with backpackers taking in a coke in between stomping around the Reunification Palace and checking out the Cathedral. Well it's not 'cheap' but it's definitely 'good value'.
Aside from coffee, crepes and cakes they do decent (for Vietnam) salads and sandwiches and steaks.
Service could be described as 'functional' (for limited values of x and y?). They do have that rather irritating habit of stepping right into the path of customers entering the cafe - I mean head-on - chainsaws, poisonous reptiles or festering wounds wouldn't stop them I bet.
Saving the best till last: They have a pleasant outdoor area which is peaceful with a splendid view. And they have wireless internet access. I hope they don't address the minor quibbles above or it might be impossible to find a seat. [12 Dec 2006 03:23:38]

Tasted good, but ... ... I got really bad stomach pains and the associated bathroom action after eating here. Kitchen staff seemed unclean, service not very friendly, very amateur, despite the fact the food tasted good, something did not agree with me! Would not go there again as long as Au Parc is just along the street from here. [29 Mar 2008 01:50:32]
