Vietnamese and Western food. They offer what they call on their flier Best from the West: jacket potatoes, bacon and eggs, burgers, salads, steak & chips, shepherd's pie, and the English brekkie mentioned above.
There is a free pool table, and the place also deals as a book exchange. Happy hour is from 6pm till 10pm.
Seats about 20 people with two tables on the footpath and the rest inside. Nice atmosphere for breakfast or brunch. Cheap prices.

bacon & eggs brekkie
This weather just demands you be at the beach: hot steamy days, blistering sun, blue skies, some afternoon storm activity. So we head for a short holiday from both Saigon and from the rut of Vietnamese food.
Shorty's offers a very nice morning retreat. Bacon and fried eggs I had one day, and bacon with scrambled eggs the other. Very good. Only little negative is the Vietnamese baguette as a side, rather than proper toast.
I specifically asked for well cooked, hopefully crispy bacon, and they didn't do too bad. It was a pretty good effort.
Cheap, 35,000 VND for this good dish, 15,000 for an orange juice.
