breakfast place On a recent visit we stayed at a mini hotel two doors up from this place, so it was a convenient and cheap breakfast venue.
Vietnamese soups like pho and ho tieu, dry meals like rice and chicken (com ga), and their version of western dishes like fried eggs with sausages, so-called beef steak.
The VNese dishes were OK, and the fried eggs, which several of us ate each morning, were OK too, served with a few slices of tomato and cucumber, as well as one of those little franks that are so commonly served as sausages in VN, and a baguette.
Service at a yell. Beers cheap and cold, Heinekens 15,000 VND. Coffees undrinkable - those among us who ordered coffees said the coffee to water and everything else ratio was ridiculously high. So strong they were left unable to be finished even after calling for hot water reinforcements.
Such a relaxed place. People (customers) around us on holiday break, as we were. V.nice atmosphere. [08 Dec 2007 08:24:04]
